Glenstal Foods wins, a two gold stars award was made to Aldi’s Ardagh Specially Selected Irish Vintage White Cheddar produced by Glenstal Foods Ltd of Murroe, Co Limerick
ALDI Stores Ireland was one of the big winners at the 2011 Great Taste Awards from the UK Guild of Fine Food, with 19 of its Irish products alone taking home titles. This was a record year for Aldi’s product range, which scooped 23 Great Taste Award titles, almost double last year’s 12 titles.
Beating off competition from both UK and Irish retailers and producers, Aldi’s Irish products picked up awards across a number of different food categories with its Irish artisan cheese range performing particularly well.
This year, a two gold stars award was made to Aldi’s Ardagh Specially Selected Irish Vintage White Cheddar produced by Glenstal Foods Ltd of Murroe, Co Limerick.
